Aquebogue is a census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Riverhead in Suffolk County, New York. Aquebogue is part of Long Island’s North Fork wine region and is home to Paumanouk Vineyards, along with other vineyards. The North Fork of Long Island is home to 38 wineries, and 3,000 acres of planted vineyards. Aquebogue is also home to its own elementary school, Aquebogue Elementary School, which is part of the Riverhead Central School District.
