Islandia is an incorporated village located in the Town of Islip in Suffolk County, New York. It was established in 1985 after CA Technologies established its world headquarters in Hauppauge. It was the area some people considered to be South Hauppauge, however there was never a South Hauppauge, and Islandia became its own incorporated Village in 1985. In August 2016, the village board approved plans for a new casino to be opened at the Marriott hotel. On February 27, 2017, Jake’s 58 casino opened with 250 video lottery terminals.
